Cookies

Every cookie on this site, listed one by one — and how to change your choice.

Last updated: Applies to zanmeke.com

This is a translation. In case of doubt, the Slovenian version prevails.

A cookie is a small file that a website stores in your browser. This site uses as few as possible — each one is listed below, with its purpose and duration. Besides cookies, the entries in the browser's storage are also listed (sessionStorage for the AI assistant, localStorage for the theme choice).

Strictly necessary

These cookies are needed for the site to work or to do what you have asked for yourself. They do not require consent (Article 225 of the Slovenian Electronic Communications Act, ZEKom-2). None of them is used for advertising or for tracking you across other sites.

  • zm_privolitev — stores your choice about visit measurement (accept or decline), so the banner does not ask you on every visit. Duration: 6 months (182 days).
  • zm_demo_cakam — set when you enter your email address on the Pricing page (AI assistants section) to unlock the trials. It holds only a random request identifier (not your email address), so that the code from the email only works in the browser that requested it. Duration: 7 days; deleted once you confirm access.
  • zm_demo_odklep — confirms that you have confirmed access to the AI assistant trials on the Pricing page by email, and links it to your enquiry. Duration: 30 days.

Administration only

These cookies are only set when signing in to the site's administration and do not exist for an ordinary visitor.

  • zm_seja — administration sign-in. Duration: until the browser is closed, or at most 30 days if the “Zapomni si me” (remember me) option is selected.
  • zm_cakajoca — the first step of sign-in, until the two-factor verification code is entered. Duration: 5 minutes.

Demo and drafts on pomocniki.zanmeke.com

The AI assistant demo (/demo) and the free website drafts (/osnutek) are on pomocniki.zanmeke.com, which I operate. Only the strictly necessary cookies below are used there — they do not require consent (Article 225 of ZEKom-2), and there is no visit measurement or consent banner there. The draft page (/osnutek) sets no cookies.

  • pom_demo_cakam — set when you enter your email address on /demo to view the demo. It holds only a random request identifier (not your email address), so that the code from the email only works in the browser that requested it. Duration: 7 days; deleted once you confirm access.
  • pom_demo_odklep — confirms that you have confirmed access to the demo by email, and links it to the confirmation record. Duration: 30 days.
  • pom_demo — unlocks the demo when you enter with an access code I have given you. Duration: 14 days.
  • pom_demo_kot_obiskovalec — administrator only: lets the administrator view /demo as a visitor. Duration: 1 hour.

This cookie is set only after you give consent. If you decline or do not give it, it is not set and nothing is recorded.

  • zm_obisk — a random identifier I use to tell a first visit from a returning one. It is not linked to you as a person and contains neither a name nor an address. Duration: 6 months (180 days).

With consent, the following are also stored: a hashed (pseudonymised) value of the IP address — I do not keep the full address —, the device type, operating system, browser, browser language, the page you came from and the pages visited. Of the location, I record only the country, not the city. More in the privacy policy.

Browser storage (AI assistant)

The AI assistant in the corner of the page remembers the conversation in the tab's storage (sessionStorage), so that it is not lost when you move to another page. This is not a cookie and is not sent with every request; the entry is only created if you write something to the assistant.

  • zm-pomocnik-v2 — the conversation identifier and the latest messages in this tab. Duration: until the tab is closed.
  • zm-pomocnik-v2:nudge — remembers that you have closed the assistant's hint. Duration: until the tab is closed.

How long the conversation is kept on the server is set out in the privacy policy.

Browser storage (theme choice)

When you choose the light or dark theme under Settings in the header, the site remembers your choice in the browser's persistent storage (localStorage). It is not a cookie, it is not sent to the server and it is only created if you choose a theme yourself — so no consent is required (Article 225 ZEKom-2).

  • zm-tema — the chosen theme (light or dark). Duration: until you switch back to »System« or clear the storage in your browser.
  • zm-admin-tema — an older entry for the same choice from the admin area; read only until zm-tema replaces it.

What is not here

This site has no Google Analytics, no Facebook tracking pixel, no advertising cookies and no social media plugins that would follow you. Fonts are loaded from the same server as the site, so a visit makes no call to Google's servers. Statistics run in my own database, and the data is not passed to third parties for advertising.

How to change your choice

Click Cookie settings in the footer of any page — the banner opens again and you can change your choice. You can also delete cookies and site storage at any time in your browser settings.
